Description:This CEC student film written & directed by Devendra D. Cleary premiered at the Bug Theater on May 21, 1998. The following narrative accompanied the film featured at the Bug Theater in 1998: Fools Gold shows a day in the life of a young con artist named Jeff Colestone. Jeff ends up going through a harsh depression period after meeting a homeless person. This makes him realize what he has become, forcing his views on the world and his moral values to change. This is Devendra’s second narrative motion picture. He co-directed a spoof on modern Mafia films entitled Tony Bonitelli with Aaron Mendelsberg. Devendra is currently in his fourth semester at CEC. He plans to pursue Film/Video production in the future. (Editor’s note: Devendra Cleary has been working in Production Sound since high school. He joined the Cinema Audio Society as an associate member when he was nineteen years old, then joined I.A.T.S.E. local 695 when he was twenty years old. He owes the success of his career to many individuals. He especially wishes to mention Dave Schaaf, C.A.S. and Dave Yaffe, C.A.S. Cleary currently resides in Santa Monica, California.) Devendra recently wrapped up three years on the sound staff for "Ugly Betty" in Hollywood. Devendra has accepted a sound staff position on the soon to be released sequel of the very popular Da Vinci Code.
