DNC at DOMDNC at DOM


There will be many changes at Denver Open Media during the DNC. Our top
priority is to serve our member base but we also want to open DOM
to the myriad of independent media makers that will be involved in
documenting this historic event from outside mainstream television. This will
require effort from both our members and independent users to work
together to ensure we are able to serve everybody's needs.

Uploading DNC-Related videos to DOM:Uploading DNC-Related videos to DOM:

  1. Once you have edited your video, export the file as an MPEG4 or Windows Media file.
  2. Create a Login
  3. Go to the DOMinizer
  4. Complete Dominizer form. This includes all of the metadata fields including a name for your Project. Even if you only plan on uploading a single video, it must have a Project.
  5. For browser based uploads, select Upload Your Video File from the Ingest Helper menu pictured bellow.
  6. Users who have uploaded their videos to DOM using our ftp droplets can select them by clicking "Please click here to select the media file you ingested earlier." If you aren't sure whether to use the ftp droplets or browser based uploads, please read this to FTP your file to DOM.
  7. After you've uploaded you video or selected it from the videos added at the DOM facilities or using ftp, follow steps 4, 5, and 6 of the process.
